Whew, now that that's out of the way...

Hi, I'm Ki(ley). I like a varied assortment of things, which means I get more joy out of life than almost anyone I know. I like Harry Potter, snakes, LOTR, anime and manga, screamo and post-hardcore music, Disney animated classics, working out, feminism, Xena: Warrior Princess, RPGs, horror movies, being tall, Jack and coke, philosophy of mind, Teen Titans, and many other nerdy and not-so-nerdy things. Talk to me about any of the above, and we'll get along famously.

More than anything, of course, I like books, both the reading and writing of them. My fantasy-writing career started around age 11 or 12 with a The Hero and the Crown fanfic and has only gotten geekier from there. I'm currently working on several novels in various genres; help me decide which to focus on and I'll be your best friend for life.

Other cool stuff I've done: I was the 2013 Editor-in-Chief of Stance: An International Undergraduate Philosophy Journal, which is (if I do say so myself) the best undergraduate journal of philosophy in the world. So, pretty sweet gig. I interned at the 2013 Midwest Writer's Workshop and was an assistant to literary agent Brooks Sherman. Nowadays, I'm a manager at a pet store, where you'll find me wrangling reptiles and herding hamsters.
